Boom Town – Documentary/BillBoard Project – 2007 – 15 Minutes – Director
Boom Town is a collection of re-imagined vacant spaces within the Saskatoon Core Neighbourhoods. Residents of those neighbourhoods were asked to re-imagine empty spaces into positive places so that they would be beneficial to themselves and/or their community. The imagined spaces were then created in miniature and exhibited on a billboard on the front of AKA Gallery and Paved Arts. This project was created to give voice to the under-represented voices in the Saskatoon City Core as the difficulties of increases in cost of living, housing shortages, increased housing and rental costs, and unequal development within the city. This project does not place blame but is meant to be create a positive conversation within the community. Music by Gilles Zolty
