WAPIKONI MOBILE

From 2013 to 2019, I worked as a Filmmaker / Mentor on the Wapikoni Mobile project.  Over that time, I helped created over 50 indigenous short films in the communities of Kitigan Zibi, Gesgepegiaq, Timiskaming First Nations, Kangirsuk Nunavik,  Wiikwemkoong Unceded Territory, Uashat mak Mani-Utenam, and many other communities for commercial projects with Wapikoni.  I am very proud of the projects we created as a team with often first-time Indigenous directors and creators within these communities.  Two of these films even premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2017 and 2019.  I also worked with the project through an online version called the Digital Studio and helped plan a Western Canadian version of the project in 2017 for the Canada 150 celebrations.
